Aiptasia disaster

I have total disaster with Aiptasia. What would you recommend to fight with it? What worked for you. I have heavily loaded tank with Zoanthids and now Aiptasia started to grow on Zoanthids body. Tried Aiptasia X, Lemon juice and nothing works. Now i got File fish.
 
I've used Aptaisia X with success. Some tips when using, be generous with the product, try and apply it while the anemone is open so that when the tentacles close they close onto the product, after closed smother the entire body with Aptaisia X. I have even applied more over the body after half hour or so.
 
I've seen better luck with Joe's Juice than AiptasiaX.
They look like the same stuff, but Joe's Juice seems better.
 
Ok. just ordered Joe's Juice. I have a feeling it will not work but at lease i have to try. Tanks Goatous
 
I would buy a few Lysmata wurdemanni which is peppermint shrimp. I always bought multiple, I think when I had a large tank which got some hitch hikers I bought like 5 of them for 20 bucks from a local store. 3 ate it the other two were fired. I eventually caught them and just gave them to friends who wanted or needed the shrimp as I wanted different ones.

Berghia are good because they eat only aiptasia. Problem is they can be expensive and you may have to breed them If you have things like wrasse which eat them. Amphipods eat their eggs too. If you have other things that are known to eat aiptasia, they will most likely eat the berghia too. That being said Filefish are easy to catch because they are slow, peppermints are a nightmare to catch. So make your choice!

I opted for an ORA aiptasia eating filefish, which is coming in tomorrow. I couldnt do berghua because I have tons of flow, amphipods, and wrasse. Did the filefish do anything?

Mine were fine together. I used peppermint shrimp in the past with good success. I have used vinegar also and that worked well but it sounds like you have many to deal with. GL

I have my Filefish for a week and did not touch any Aiptasia yet. She is eating normal food that im feeding my fish. And if she is not hungry she probably wont touch Aiptasia. I know Filefish is also hit or miss. Not all of them are eating Aiptasia.
