just to give an example. Most of my SPS did fine in my recent tank move except 3 showed signs of stress from the move. I had a Ph swing into the low 7.x and that caused those three to start to RTN. I lost two of them, but saved the other. The Ph swung so low because I had shortened my photo period to acclimate the corals to the new, stronger, lights. After that day, I just put the lights on full blast for the full photo period with no ill effects to the coral... After that I really don't know how important it is to light acclimate, as mine seemed to have no ill-effect (infact the blues in my acros are now even bluer!)
