Anemone stuck in power head

So my new nem got stuck in powerhead shroud. I cut it apart and pulled him out. He looks like he's ok but I'm now concerned what type of affordable powerhead I can purchase and what protection should I use on the shroud.

If it is an ecotech, you can use the foam covers they sell or just use pantyhose.

Foam around the outside is the safest next to setting up a closed loop.

inlets on closed loops have the same problem, unless they are large enough that the nem wont block the entire ]inlet.

True, but you can normally hide the inlets well enough, or create a suction tube where there's not a strong enough pull to keep a nem in one spot.

I had this hapoen once what a flippen mess my nem wasnt so lucky most got shredded although a piece did survive. Only nems ive had that stayed still were rose nems i evejtually just gave up on nems

I had a nem that split and one newbie who used to travel to the closest CL inlet like every week! It was a pain in the neck so, for a while, I put foam socks on everything.. then I gave it away

Cut it and salvage what you can. Should be ok if mouth is still in one piece.
