Anyone had any luck getting scratches out of Starphire glass?

My wife noticed some scratches on the outside of our starphire glass tank. I wasn't able to feel them so they weren't very deep. Has anyone had any luck getting scratches out and if so what did you use? I'm hoping since the scratches are on the outside I can repair them without taking everything down again...

There are some polishing kits that you can get but it is very difficult to do.

I had a professional do it. It cost $200 but it was worth it. No warping. You can't tell it was ever scratched.
