Apc for power outage urgent help

So yeaterday i got a letter in the mail that comed will do repairs tomorrow and there will be an up to 8 hours power interruption. I have 2 mp10's. if i go out and buy a computer apc like a 500 watt one. And 2 power inverters to plug into the apc and connect them to battery backup plug on my vortech pumps. Would it work just like ecotech battery backup box?
Or any local fish stores carry ecotech back up

you could rent, or buy, a generator from home depot. Then keep every thing running.
