Apex ?

The eb8 would drain most USBs really quickly :(

They work well when powering light loads...so plug your internet router and a 12v adapter to power the APEX head unit.

That will give you visibility to what is happening from wherever you are...

Flow and temp are the 'high load' critical functions....I use the ecotech battery backup for my 2 MP10s and rely on my house not changing the temp too much too fast...which is good 6mo of the year~

I have a full house generater kicks on in 30 seconds of power outage just need router not to lose power i guess
 
Well i ****ed up my apex . I tried updating on my own and now wont even turn on . Stupid fukin controller

No every thing was hard wired and I followed instructions that they gave on tge apex. When it started the update went smooth at first then at update 45 of 115 started to say cant connect to apex then it would connect and go to the next one 1.5 hours later it finally finished the 115 updates . I thought i was good then said timed out sending it all to apex and everything froze now it flashes yellow and screen wont turn on . And in order to fix it i need to load updates into brain but to do that it needs IP address and apparently IP address can change but screen wont turn on so i cant see new IP address. Then when i go to my router IP address it ask for user name and password i typed in the one wife uses for xfinity and it doesnt work . Then we fought phones got thrown and i went to bed
Also didnt help that when u look at directions on fusion that they miss a step or two that they have on the web site where u download the updates . Which i didnt see till was too late . Although i think it was ok i just cant tell cause u gotta look through the display to find out lol and that dont turn on anymore

Finally got it. Some how . I connected brain straight to laptop and put my router ip and it kicked the apex on lol still didnt load so did more google digging and found a guy that had similar issue and what he ended up doing was not have the lap top connected with a cable but use wifi for laptop and hardwire for apex and bam was done in like a minute the web page update took about 5 min failed first time then took second time. Least that head ache is done
 
Glad to hear you got that to work. Sounds more complicated, confusing and frustrating than it should be. I think I'll skip it for a while.

Yea there instructions suck u find better info on other forums from people failing from listening to apex instructions and fixing with smart people fixes lol
 
Ok another apex question so i wanna have my reefbrite turn on in am for few hrs then off then back on at night for few hrs how do i program that im guessing its in advanced and id have to write some kinda program

i have a temp statement that turns the light off. once it turns off it ensures it stays off for that min amount of time.
 
Ok another question who's using a break out box mine came with diy one its been plugged in but I haven't used it . Now im trying to figure out how to use it do u have to set it up in the head unit or is it supposed to be plug and play. I tried to program a outlet to sw1 and says error so i cant tell if box bad or im dumb lol really can be either one
 
So i kinda figured out breakout box . But i can only get switch 8 to work. I used a multimeter to check the box it self and seems like it all test ok almost seem like its the plug on the apex brain or im doing something wrong lol.
 
Well I figured out why i had so many issues with my apex brain box is fried literally i opened it up and a piece fell right out now it dont work at all. 300$ for a new one sob why the hell they so expensive
 
Hope you get a replacement joe, im pretty new to apex but to me its soooo reliable.

Worse case scenario find a black and white sticker brain?

Thats what i had thats what im looking for. Yea im the only one with issues with it but least now i know why had a screwy brain lol
