Apogee PAR meter is corrected under LED?

I read some where that the Apogee Meter is not measure correctly under LED light. Anyone know about it? Thanks.
 
wow, thanks for asking this maida. I've been toying with the idea of a par meter, but I had no idea this was a potential problem. Following alon for sure.
 
I've heard that it doesn't read par from the blue LEDs correctly. I think it's around 15% less or sumthing. I remember hearing it from someone.
 
It makes sense, LED light and radiated light work on very separate principles. A diode emits light in a direction, halides radiate it, so a PAR meter won't properly read the amount of light a diode gives off because not all of the light is being "collected" so to speak.
