Baffles for sump

Where is a good place to get glass/acrylic for baffles? HD, Menards, etc.? What thinnest you can go with materials? .220 for acrylic and 1/4" with glass?
 
i have a leftover sheet of .220 acrylic its 12x48 i can sell it for $20 will have it back from fishbeard this weekend hes building my sump for me out of a 29gal aga i bought a high quality 48x24 sheet for $54 and fishbeard only need to use half of it let me know after i get it back from him you are pretty close by.
 
Yea, its the nice Optix brand acrylic from Home Depot, its just a bit over 12" wide, I can get the measurement tomorrow for you if you need to know exactly. Also, if you want the piece, I can cut the baffles to size for you while its still at my work and have all the tools at my disposal there. No charge of course, just helping out.
 
wow I was searched over and over for the acrylic sheet to build my sump
no one said any anything..
now you guy have some left over...how cool

Fishbeard, it's going to be a 20G high sump. I 'm still in the planning stages so you might know better the sizes I'll need. Thank both of you very much. :D
 
Its yours you're welcome and if you want you could drop of your tank with fishbeard and he can cut and silicone the baffles in for you if you ask nicely and I'm sure he'll take a donation. We are meeting up this weekend Friday or Sunday so you could kill two birds with one stone drop off your tank with him pay me and you'll have it back and ready to go in a week. But ask him I don't want to volunteer him ya know.
 
Sounds good, once you know what you need cut up, Ill chop it up for ya.

And yes, I can easily whip up a sump for you, and work for donations, whatever you think is fair. Im not a business and dont feel right setting prices. Its just a side hobby to have something to do during breaks at work.
