Bangai cardinals not buddies anymore?

So I've had these two bangai cardinals for prob 7 months now and they have always swam together but today i noticed the one high up in my tank. He's just chilling under the Xenia. Every time he try's to come out the other one attacks him.

Are they know to start fighting when they get older. ????

Unfortunately, unless they are a male/female bonded pair they will not get along once they reach maturity as yours have. The dominant one will kill or harass him to death.

Damn. So should I take out the aggressive one. Or at least try. Prob not happening.

I would try to get one of them out. I don't think it really matters which one as long as just one is left in the tank. Just go for whichever one is easier to catch. :biggrin5:

Chris, I edited mine before I saw that you had already responded to mine, so just wanted to make sure you saw that I changed it to getting either one out, not just the aggressor. Take out whichever is easier to catch.
 
Got that sucker. Wow that was all luck. The aggressive one is still in there. Thanks again.
