Bartlett's Anthias Shoal.

I have a mff trio, and I haven't had any problems what-so-ever. I got a gimpy female from George (fishbeard), and I believe she died.. So, I'm back to the trio.. But I think one of my females is changing to a male. There was no sign, up until today.. Could my male maybe stop my female from changing if he beat the crap out of her or something?

:-( she died? Did you find the body? She hid for like 3 days in my tank after the males roughed her up. She could still just be hiding in your tank.

This is the same reason I want to get rid of my Bartletts, had a female turn to a 2nd male, now all they do is chase each other off to opposite ends of the tank. It's seemed impossible so far to just find a group of females to introduce all at one time.

I personally think she's dead. I haven't found the body - but she never really left the sandbed since she got into my tank. :\ I hope she pops up, but meh, I'm not going to hold my breath. She's been MIA for days now.

The one that I think might be changing is the loner of the shoal. They haven't been fighting, and she's on the lowest of the pecking order. The male is still dominating her so idk wtf is up.

It's messed up, I totally know how you feel. Personally, i just want my 2 boys sold off and when a good sized bourbonius anthias comes around for a good price, I'll add that to my tank. I was looking really forward to the shoal of bartletts but that plan fell apart. :-/

This is so strange.. the one that I thought was morphing.. I thought this because she started to get the yellow bar on her sides. I just checked on them.. my male is swimming over her and being aggressive, and she looks completely normal again. I'm pretty happy about this.
