Hi all, it's been what felt like forever since I had to breakdown my 45 cube. It's been so tough checking the forums and seeing all these cool tanks without one of my one. So I've been saving up and planning and finally recently pulled the trigger on a cube that looks great in our condo. I wanted a clean look and was going to go with the Pico III, but ultimately went with the Coralife Biocube 29 as it was the better option for me.
So here's the summary of what I got:
Tank: Coralife Biocube 29
Lighting: Steve's LEDs - 16 Royal Blue / 4 Cool Blue / 8 4K Neutral White / 6 Hyper Violets
Filtration: Tunze 9002
Flow: MP10
I'm going for a mixed reef with SPS, LPS, and zoas. Tank has been cycling for over two weeks now. I ordered some BRS Dry Reef Eco Saver rock and bought a small piece of live rock to get it going. Also put down an inch of Arag Alive special grade sand. I misread the description and thought it was just special grade... Didnt even notice it was "live sand" until I saw some water in the bag. Oh well.
Here's the tank about a month after starting up
