Brown Algae

I was told that a new tank will occur brown algae as it goes through it's cycle. Once it completes the cycle, the algae will disappear. Can I get some insight/thoughts on this. Thanks!

I think what you're talking about is diatoms. It is brown and will appear in new tanks but eventually "burn" itself out.

It should go away about as quick as it came, otherwise you have other problems.

watch it is not cyano. im new to the hobby and thought it was the diatom bloom. it was but than they never died because it was fallowed by cyano.
