Im getting a little tired with taking out and replacing my BRS media reactor every 2 weeks, I feel like it will just be easier to slap a bag of chemipure in my sump every month instead. Anyone have any experience with this? is chemipure an acceptable substitute. I used it in my 29g Biocube but never in my 57g reef
 
you wont get the same contact time with chemipure just sitting in a sump, and it needs to be replaced every couple weeks too.
 
Stop being lazy lol. Got almost 60g of water the reactor is way more efficient. Just change your gfo when u do a water change.
 
try putting a big piece of blue and white filter floss on top of the media before closing the cartridge. I have pretty good luck with mine run off the return but i need the floss to keep it from packing solid. I also use a ball valve to control the flow for this reason. i hope it helps.
