Calcium Reactor or Kalkwasser Reactor

So, I am looking to upgrade to a reactor on my 250g aquarium. Currently I just dose calcium, alk and mag as needed with the BRS 2 part dosing package. I find myself having to dose a lot more now and days as my coral collection has grown.

So, I have been doing a lot of reading and it seems like there are trends away from reactors due to failures. I am a firm believer in technology though and proper maintenance and spot checking can help curb that though. So, it is my understanding that a Kalk reactor is a better choice as it provides more for an aquarium than just a calcium reactor correct? Thoughts?

From what I understand, Kalk helps with Alk and Calcium.....but I could be wrong.

If your calcium demand is greater than dripping kalk,you need a reactor.Your size system might benefit from a reactor.Plain Kalk might not keep up.
