Can Someone Help Me ID These...?

I thought that was aptasia for alittle bit there with the long tentacles. lol but hopefully somebody can chime in for the name of your zoas.

That does look like a frag of aiptasia. Where did you pick the frag up from?

On Picture 2 it's hard to tell what the top left one is and the top right one is not open enough to identify. However the bottom one really looks like aiptasia shoot us some more pics of them pls.

If its aiptasia you need to throw that in the garbage bud they are nasty and spread like wild fire.

I believe those are yellow polyps. Google search yellow colony polyp and see if that looks like yours

Thanks, FraginReeferHead and anarchy. It's definitely not aptasia (thankfully). I'll look up yellow polyps. I'll also try to get better pics.

Im pretty sure anarchy is right although the pic really does look like somebody glued aptasia to a plug lol

LOL Yes, he is right. They are yellow polyps. One of them has two "bumps" on either side of the bottom of its stalk. Does this mean it's about to make two more?

Dont get to crazy on feeding corals thats how people crash tanks i feed my corals like twice a yr rest of the time i just let my fish poop on em lol

I don't have fish yet, just the corals and inverts. I'm going to change over to a 65 gal in a few weeks, so I'll get my fish then and quarantine them in my 29 g Biocube that I have in place.

So... since we were recently on the subject... I came in tonight and found a strange mass next to my Orange Yuma, which is one of my favorite corals in the tank. After looking for quite a while, I'm HOPING that this is a new spawn. Is that what this is or should I worry and look into it further? Also, you probably can't see it too well, but here's a pic of the Yellow Polyps, one with two bumps on the bottom of his stalk:

The round things are green bubble algae. You're going to need to shut off all flow in the tank and siphon the bubbles out and do not break them. If you break it then they release spores and more will grow back. Dealing with this myself

Got it! Glad I asked! Is a turkey baster precise enough to remove them or should I get something smaller?

Well, I got lucky. I remembered that the Orange Yuma is on its own rock, so I took it out of the tank and scraped the bubble algae off. I was about to put the rock back and I was checking to see that I got all of the bubble algae (I scrubbed away at the part of the rock it was on), I DID see a tiny Yuma! It looks almost like a plate coral, dull with a slightly shiny orange center. It shriveled when I touched it. I'm hoping it grows enough in the coming weeks where I can really see it.View attachment 12220

I found out that the brown paly in the first picture (above the yellow polyps) is the Hell Storm paly. This is someone else's picture. Mine has really started developing this coloring and looks great. Looks like it's also grown another.
