catching a fish

My purple stripe pseudochromis is terrorizing my lawnmower blenny I'd like to place him in my fuge until I can find a home for him. He is too quick and smart for me to net I was wondering if anyone has any tips techniques or advice to help me catch him without having to tear down my entire rockscape.
 
The most effective way is get a small fish hook put some thin fishing line some bait on it *and wait for him to bite you will catch him guaranteed. This is what i did when i needed to get a fish out and i didnt want to tear down the tank. This might seem cruel but you will not kill the fish this way and the puncture wound will heal quickly.*
 
i caught my wrasse with the clear plastic bottle diy trap. there is alot of info on the bottle trap online. cut the bottle, put the food in and somehow secure it somewhere in the tank. used a mag scraper to hold it in place. you got to watch your shrimp though. my cleaner shrimp and peppermint got caught in there. good luck.
 
try the bottle, coz with the fish hook method, though effective, might end up hooking a fish you don't want to hook :)
 
The bottle method works. Take the cap off, cut the bottle where it starts to narrow, invert the the top piece and tape it together. Put some food in it and sink it to the bottom of the tank.
 
hint with bottle go slow putting in water the food will come flying out i used super glue to tack the inverted part and used thin fish line to the bottle to pull it out when fish caught tape line to edge of tank or brace
 
Good luck. Purple lined dotty back is tough to catch. It really is smart and super fast. Use table shrimp as bait, it loves that.
