Ok I have a Reef Octopus HOB Skimmer (BH-300F) and in the last/return chamber there is this black "sponge" thing. I was told I should remove that, but what will stop the bubbles then. My real question is, should i remove the "sponge" and just put some cheato in there instead? It couldn't hurt, could it?? Plus, where can i get cheato in the Naperville area then? Thanks in advance.
