How long did you keep chromis? I’d love to have a group of them, but when I’ve tried, they pick each other off and then the my all just end up dead.

Same for anthias. I’d love to have a crew of anthias, but they never seem to survive.

Back in 2013, when I had my 75 gallon, I always kept chromis, so for a few years. I must have been lucky, because I never experienced what everyone else seems to with the "There can Be only" syndrome. Now I have a 29 cube, so a school of them is definitely out, LOL.

I added three small Chromis to my 65 gallon. They shoal together most of the time and only peck at each other a bit. It's only been 6 months so far but all is well for now.View attachment 24715

Reefwise occasionally (or on request) brings in Guam chromis...they don't pick at each other...very docile and great color!

For whatever reason, I've had good luck with Lyretail anthias as well. They do pick at each other a bit, but I've had a group of 5 for over 2 yrs. It may be the "super male" is quite vigorous...or just plain ol' luck
