Clearance above water for LED's to work on 75gal tank

Hey everyone. I'm going to build a 75g tank and the canopy doesn't give a lot of clearance above water for lights. I want to get the xr30w pro light but don't know how far above the water I need to be for it to cover the tank. Or any LED's for that matter.

Mine were at 4" above water surface over a 21" deep tank but it was giving off crazy par at that height even after adjusting the brightness so now I have it at 8" above water surface. I am liking it there.

Mine are at 12" above my 75 and I only have my blues at 55% max and whites at 40% max right now. LEDs can really penetrate the water, so you can have it pretty high off the tank for spread. I have SPS all the way down my tank.

my radion is ~12" above the water surface. i have a gen 2 and it covers my 75g pretty nicely if i do say so myself.

this is the Par from my MH but its almost exactly the same as the 1 radion. just like 10-20 less on the edges

What is the recommended spread for the radions? I am still trying to decide what I want to put over my 120g long and hoped I may be able to get away with two of them. Thank you

TBH their spread is NOT good with a long I believe is 6ft you will need 3 min. 24x24 is about the max spread. I would do 2 of the maxspect raxor 160 watts, they are 27 inches long apiece and will save you a lil money in the long run.
