Cloudy Eye

Hi, I have a flame angel that I came home from work today to find that about half of one eye is slightly puffy and cloudy. I have no idea what this could be so if anyone has any suggestions I would GREATLY appreciate it!
 
Where'd you get the fish from? Is it eating? How long did you keep it in QT and what treatments did you administer to it while in QT?
 
I had two Anthias with same problem in my qt. went away after a couple days. The two didn't make it even thou it went away. Hopefully u have better luck!
 
Most pop eye is caused from an abrasion to the eye (net, rock structure, etc) where afterward bacteria colonized on the injury. There are multiple products out there that will treat the gram negative bacteria that has colonized.
 
Will Melafix Marine take care of this problem? Also, does anyone know if Melafix Marine is reef safe and invert safe?
 
Also I got the fish at Petland in Bolingbrook. The fish is eating and is acting fine however I noticed that some of it's fins seem a bit tore up.
 
Cloudy eye can be from parasite or scratched eye or bad water quality usually its water quality or parasite. U can usaully see the parasite though. Melifix will help it is reef safe ive used it in my reef with clams sps zoas star fish nothing died. Will make u skimmer go nuts though. It also can go away on its own if u water better then petco which u can pee in u tank and still have better water then them good luck
 
build up its immunity system by feeding it garlic ... and a nice butter sauce... ( Joking ) but serious about the garlic ... add it to its food
