I came downstairs to check on the tank and I find my snowflake breathing quickly and hiding under rocks. Need help quick not sure what needs to happen.
Sorry, dude. That sucks bad... If I recall, you just started carbon dosing and I'm not sure about vinegar but the amount you started with seemed high. Not trying to second guess you, rather come up with some hypothetical causes.
Yeah I thought the same but I dosed the starting amount for 100 gallons. I did notice brown spots one on each side of the black and white clown and one spot on the forehead of the orange and white
At first I thought it may have been ich but after inspecting the black snowflake I have found no physical signs. I also checked my 2 ocellaris clowns in the other tank along with the rest of my fish. No one is showing signs of ich so now I'm lost. Possible parasite? Anyone have ideas
I lost 3 fishes out of 25 in my tank. Blue dotted jawfish stopped eating, purple fire fish got white bumps not ich and purple Dotty back was loosing skin on forehead but ate like champ. This was few months ago and all other fishes were doing good. I moved then to QT WHICH IS RUNNING ALL THE TIME. they died same day. IMO When fish is declining putting in QT will do more harm then good. If you catch it in earlier stage you might have good chance to recover. I do one thing though. I make my own organic garlic juice. Peel it grind it squeeze it. I feed when ever I see a scratching on the rock or unusual behavior. Also I thaw the food and soak in Good quality selco. And keep it in freezer for few min. And feed the tank and feed pallets too. All in all "some fish get sick and die". If you see other fishes happy don't panic.
