Considering a new skimmer.

I think I'd like a slightly larger skimmer on my 45 cube. I am currently running an sc65 with total water volume of about 60 gallons. The sc65 is a great skimmer but I'd like to get something with a larger cup and rating because I'm cleaning this one every 3 days or so. I may not be able to do much more though because I have a very tight space. It has to fit in half a 10 gallon and be less than about 18in tall. Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.
 
I like the mod idea. If the cup is really dirty in the neck will it keep skimming and draining (assuming the drain tube stays clear)? I could easily run a line through my wall to my floor drain from the cup if that will keep it going longer.

Correct!! Mine drains into a BRS slim 1gal container.. Love it!! 1 1/2 week of skim.. The smell is crazy :rolleyes:
