Crab ID

[Tangency]

Need some help with ID-ing this crab. Any ideas?

can't really tell in that pic, but if those are red beady eyes.... banish it to the sump

I think i see a claw...and a red eye. It probably isnt safe, although when its small its hard to tell.

After reading some threads it seems hairy leggers are bad Emerald crabs are hairy but good to your tank : ) It is just a rule of thumb people go by

A type of mithrax crab.
Id get rid of it.

I only trust porcelein and acro crabs. For now...

I had a black/brown mitrax crab very similar to yours that broke the tips off my sps to use to build himself a cave... Never knew where the tips were going until I setup a nightvision webcam and found him cutting off small tips and carrying them into a hole...

Gave him to someone who wanted him for food.

This was my culprit who broke tiny tips off sps to make himself a cave...
He looks so innocent...
