Digitata experiment

I placed a new green digi near a forest fire frag I have. Does anybody know if they'll grow together and intertwine or just keep to their own space ?
I thought that if they do intertwine that it would look pretty cool.
 
depends on the exact spices and where they were gathered, typically if they are from different biotopes they will compete with eachother

I don't think they will sting each other, but could very likely grow over each other. Give it a try, if you see one of the montis with dead white tips you will know they are stinging each other and should separate them. Have fun.
 
I'll take pictures when they grow more. Right now they're small frags. The forest fire has started taking off, but I just got the green digitata on Saturday.
 
sps dont typically sting, what you will see is an allelopathic response which can come in many forms, reduced PE, tissue sloughing... etc
 
I may try this once my green digi gets large enough to frag and place it close to a frag of my orange digi
