Disappointed in Aqua illumination

I recently (two weeks) ago purchased to AI Hydra 26s. I get home set them up great turn on the lights. I jotive a color difference in the leds, I test the leds and see it is the royal Blues that are off. I call Ai explain they say they have heard of the issue before! they send out a replacement to see which one will lair up the best and I return the other one. Problem solved i thought Nope!!!!!! that night the other light would flash on its own when off and the lights signaling parent/child relationship would not work tried resetting it nothing. I called Ai they said well we already sent you one so your only option would be to ship out here to have it fixed ( leaving me with no light) I explained I needed the light. Ai rep says well we already shipped you one I then stated yes and These are a week and a half old! So now im stum with a replacemnent that doesnt match the other unit. Buyers beware of this issue! they lost a loyal customer

I have owned aqua illumination and the newer lights are a little quirky to first set up. I thought my prime's were faulty, but it took a few hours till I got the reset sequence down pat and then they had no issues afterwards. I forget the sequence, but there is a hard reset where you hold the button down till the second color flashes and stops. Do that to both and then make sure wifi has a strong signal and it should sort it out.
 
There are threads out on Reef central stating that at some point A.I.s production facilty, at some point switched led manufactures causing the issue with the royal blues.

I sent them an email this is frustrating



I have received the replacement but the issue remains the light that is acting up and malfunctions is the light that matches up the existing led with the royal blues! so now I am back to square one. I have contacted chris fernandes of your company. He informed me he can not send out another one because i have already received a light even though I have just purchased them a week and a half ago! The only option he gave was to ship the light back leaving me with no light? Now I have mismatching lights. It is unfortunate as I have been a AI loyal customer for years and these products are not cheap! I have always gave credit to your company for years on forums such as Reef Central and a large forum here in Chicago called Chicago Reefs. After this customer service I am unsure I can keep my loyalty to the company. I purchased 2 lights not one? So i dont understand why only one can be replaced if they are both Faulty!

Its been two weks i have recieved a replacement for the unit that was flashing but they refuse to send a second unit for the issue with the other unit dur to the royal blue bulbs not matching. They state they have to inspect it still and based on that they will let me know about sending a second light. This should not be this hard you spend $700 on lights there should be no issues especially with the same royal blue leds not matching up per unit to unit! I could have saved and spent way less on chinese led lights ! They cant even swap it out til they please! Now i know so frustrating

Imo the lfs u bought them from should replace them and they can deal with these head aches thats why u bought from them and not directly from aqua .

thanks for sharing kinda ridiculous. much easier to keep a client than to acquire a new one.

Ya i dont understamd I should have just bought a reefbreeders V2 for this money. This companies going down hill! not to mention they took a step backwards you cant program clouds with these only lightning storms!!!What! !!!!!!!!

Ok update I received 2 new lights packaged well great go to set them up, got them mounted. I go to set up the loghts VIA WIFI and the issues start upon Wifi I cant connect to the units says no internet and i know my modem is on because im using my phone wifi. try again nothing. Refresh and I finally get on a unit . I go to set it up it syncs with PARENT but wont sync CHILD! try whole process again and nothing reverse order and I go on reversing parent/child and same issue disconnect factory reset and the parent connects child struggles to stay on but does with alot of delay. The modem is. ot the issue i had the orginal 2 connected via wifi no problem. Try again and they sync, I thought great!
Wake up this morning and they are not on schedule try to log on through MY AI and nothing. Releat process and they wont pair up. So i tried making each a profile on My AI and One works the other doesnt . Try again it struggles to log on wifi. It finally connects on its own profile?! So now i got to have 2 seperate profiles? for each light they wont SYNC!? I give up im going to return them I didnt have connection issues with the color mismatch lights now the new lights colors match up great! but they wont stay connected! To much worry with them losing connection

So Mario from Aquatica came through he took the matter into his own hands and swapped out my two replacements for a new order that had just shipped in . Got them home and they Worked like a Charm!
Thanks to him lights are ok now as far as AI the lights they sent were either recycled or jus plain crap but my new ai hydra 26s are awesome

Its been working now thanks to Mario from Aquatica for helping me with this henswapped out the units i been having issues with mow everythings great Aquatica in IL is top notch

That's why I love Mario [MENTION=2790]Aquatica[/MENTION]. There isn't much he won't go above and beyond for in customer service.
