DIY frag rack

Since I'm always looking to save a buck, I came up with another frag rack idea. I use the suction cup hangers with my powerheads so I have the clip on hangers left over. With a little super glue and short amount of time, I had a sturdy frag rack that could be easily removed.

First snip off and glue a piece of egg crate to the back of the piece that attached to the powerhead groove. Then glue that piece to the side of the eggcrate. I only used one hanger for this rack but it can be double or tripled up for heavier/larger racks. The unfortunate thing is that this will probably only work for smaller tanks or those that don't have very thick trim on the top.

Mine is still drying but I'll repost if it's a failure or success.

I think it will hold up on a glass tank, I'm not so sure on am acrylic tank due to the euro-bracing.

Yes, this rack won't work on a thicker trim unless you can somehow alter the hanger clip. Here's a pic of mine on a 10G; it seems sturdy enough and I didn't spend any $.
