Do aptasia sting fish?

I just bought a beautiful frogfish & he doesn't like to sit on anything. Just hangs out in the corner wall. :a11: I have lots of aptasia in that tank. Is it stinging him? I know he's band-new, so maybe he's just adjusting to the tank. He's got plenty so soft coral to sit on.

He died that same evening I bought him. I think he had some air trapped in him, like puffers get. I tried to burp him but only a few bubbles came out.

I have 3 I am thinking of letting go of. 2 painted, and a wartskin. Lmk if you are interested. All 3 are on frozen.

I don't know about aiptasia stinging fish. But a few peppermint shrimp should take care of that aiptasia and make a great snack for whenever you get your angler. I watch my peppermint walk all over the mouth and body of my painted angler "mangler" it was like he was cleaning him off. It wasn't until my regular feeding schedule got jacked up for a few days and mangler didn't get a meal from me. Well he found his meal in that peppermint shrimp, but it is possible for the two to coincide and as we all know anglers aren't the fastest fish in the sea.
