Does my new haddoni look sick

I found today it moved
To the sand bed
But it's very unresponsive
The mouth is open about 2-3 inches
Brown around the mouth
And browning under the body
What can I do

I'm sorry to say this but it sounds like its dying or on it's way out. Do you have a holder container for acclimating fish something similar that you can possibly observe it in while in tank

Yes I do
Should I place it in that
In the tank
I just got this thing last weekend
Cost me a pretty penny to
It's been moving around every day

I dunno this morning he was on the other side of the tank again
And holding on to the front glass
I just don't want him to kick the bucket
Thing cost to much

What are you water parameters? Are you feeding it ? What type of lighting? Tank mates? All this info might help to diagnose

I mite be wrong maybe one of the more experienced reefers could chime in, but I would be worried about that thing die and going nuclear on the tank and kill off the other inhabitants of the tank not the cost of the anemone

I have had anemones before no problems
Just my first carpet
This morning he was in a different spot again
My water parms are all 0
I just did a water change yesterday for the heck of it
Tank mates are 2 clowns
1 manderin
1 firefish
And a fairy athenia(? Spelling)
Snails hermits cleaner shrimp
Nothing crazy
Lights are LEDs
I know there 50/50 shot with carpets
My rbta was nice and happy should have just stuck with him

He's is not melting at all
Still very solid
Not really any smaller in size either
All tentacles are still out
Nice and green

Just mouth is wide open

I tried to feed it
It held on to it to long to watch
It never put it in it mouth like usually an anemone would
I know my rbta took a while before it would eat

From my experience RBTA and Carpets don't handle the transtion very well with shipping, if the seller or LFS just got them in and shipped them out the same or next day it, is more than likely still stress, he can just be trying to find a good spot. I would lower your lighting in your Maxspect LED also since they don't handle LED's very well either, in my experience my Anemones loose color over time and the growth rate on them is very slow not like T-5's which they seemed happier underneath it, but then again this is what I experienced in my Tank.
