Dominance issue

I had brought two juvenile clown fish (not paired) and one is clearly dominated over the other. The smaller one seem to accept her dominance by twitching. I then introduce a 5 inch nem about a month later and the smaller clownfish loves it but his behavior has changed. He attacks the dominated one and won't let her near the nem, but when he is not in the nem, he accept the dominance from the "female". This behavior has been ongoing for about two weeks. I'm starting to see battle scars from both of them, will they stop eventually or should I remove that nem?

Mine worked it out eventually, took several weeks or maybe a couple months (its been awhile). I think that the one that started out dominant, actually lost its dominance in the long run, but I could be wrong as their markings were quite similar. I would just leave it be and see how it plays out.

Have clowns in 2 tanks and 1 tank they were able to work it out in 2 days and all 3 are buds, the other tank I had to remove the 2nd clown or there would of been a fight to the finish . may work itself out in a day or 2 but if theres battle scars already sounds like someone isn't going to up . brought home 3 yellow tangs yesterday and they duked it out with the other Yellows pretty good so I turned the lights off early and they been on since 9.00 a.m. and every one is playing nice like they been 2gether for years .GL

they will figure it out! it hurts to see them injured but they'll be fine! they go nuts over a nem but he should go crazier over her!! the bigger dominant one should give him a beat down he will enjoy!! lol
