Dual BRS Reactor HELP!!!

I have this reactor and I'm about just to throw it against the wall

Should have never traded my 2-TLF for these.. Now I'm stuck with this reactor and the wife saying " I told you so" :suicide::suicide:

I'm not getting any type of tumble in the reactors for my GFO or carbon. Thought by buying replacement pads will fix the issue. Even tried with 1/2 cup and still no results. Also tried a mag 5 and a few MJ1200 with no results.

I have cleaned this and took it apart to see if anything was stuck.

Can someone tell me what the issue could be or had same problems with this reactor and how it was fixed.......

Has to be a flow problem, Mine i have to run valve almost 90% closed to keep mine from over tumbling media. Not to sound like a smart butt but are you sure your flow is going the correct way? Also if your using there stock elbows check to make sure there not clogged or make sure there drilled correctly. Without seeing it hard for me to make a 100% assumption on what it might be. But they are very nice reactors and i wouldn't use any other types.

Scrub the bottom and top of the inside media holders with a toothbrush. I was having the same problem. Also put a pre-filter and that should really help

Carbon should not tumble, and should be packed tight in the reactor. For the GFO I found that this has worked with the BRS reactors
"For GFO, 2 sponges way up top, and 1 below the GFO. No sponge directly on top of the GFO"

If you can't get it to tumble then there may not be enough flow. But remember you just want to see the top of the GFO tumble. Too much will grind the GFO out (like if you tumble carbon).

I'll take it off your hands for you......:yes4:

LOL!!!
Yeah, sell it.
buy single reactors, they are easier to work with
If I'm still having the same issue.. I might :rolleyes (2):

Will try this next

Thanks! Fishbeard will be coming over tomorrow to take a look. I'm sure it's getting flow as I also used my mag 5 with the same issue.. I hope I can get this resolved soon as my SPS are not looking to good

Yep, I will stop by after you get home. We will fix it and you will have a beer and all will be well again!
