dusky jawfish

I picked this guy up two days ago and he might be my favorite mate it the tank. Trying to figure out where to build his den, he's a work horse. After last night and coming home from work he had literally bottomed out a chalice I had for a roof and had that half buried. I removed that and moved him until he got into another hole he had already dug. Well, he didn't like that hole, so in a 3 hr span, he moved to the new location he is in now, which is perfect! And I turn around to look and through the reflection of the glass, I see him dart out 4 inches and tell the Coral Beauty Angel, oh hell no, honey badger don't take no ****! He's a pretty cool fish! When he looks at you, he's got the stink eye on!

Jawfish are so cool! I've been wanting one for some time now.

Congrats on the pickup bro!

Yep learned that one, I only have 2 on the sand bed and one definitely isn't big enough for him. I think the spot he's in, I'm hoping he sticks with it. The first night it was the front two corners, dug out 3 inches to the bottom both sides! I dug a trench to the chalice I thought might suffice. He's pretty good with a hand behind him to guide him along, went under the chalice. Next day, chalice is buried, but he has other holes. Today, picked up chalice and guided him to his other hole and now he moved and started another one, which is perfect, crossing fingers! Picture is the new spot he is in.
