E5 looks good...

Although we've tested them over one of our office tanks for a month, several of our team members plan to try them on their home tanks. Of course, we'll let customers get first dibs since quantities are limited in this first order! :woohoo:

Any discount for lot? hehehe I am Infidel.

They have MAP pricing, so we won't be able to offer discounts unless Euroquatics gives us permission. Which we suspect they won't yet since they are still new and kind of buzzworthy.

So they will use same ballast as T5? just plug in the T5 fixture? Thanks.

The E5 is a direct swap. Simply remove your T5HO bulb and replace it with the new E5 bulb. No modifications or ballast removal needed. You can even use T5 and E5 bulbs in the same fixture!

Does the E5 Blue Pop give the same color appearance as a blue+ or more of the LED blues making the corals pop? Thanks!

The E5 Blue Pop has a peak at 450nm so it will have that LED blue coloration that make the corals pop. Visually, the E5 Blue Pop is more blue and brighter than a T5 Blue+.

Since these bulbs appear to have some type of diffuser built in to mimc the look of a T5, will they produce any shimmer or is the point source property of the bulb mostly eliminated due to the diffuser?

These bulbs were meant to replace T5 in function and appearance. The light output is very diffused and will not produce shimmer. If you are looking to add shimmer to your aquarium, adding a ReefBrite or a Current USA LED strip would work well.

Thanks, I actually use DIY LEDs but was waiting until these were released before I added another set. Thanks for the info!
