Ecotech MP wet side installation

I have reviewed the owners manual and quick start up guide but can't find an answer.

If you look at the wetside of a MP40 there is a section that is solid (does not contain openings for water to enter behind the blade).

I assume this is to be facing up to eliminate the creation of a vortex by sucking water from the top. Is this correct?

If this is a feature, you would think they would acknowledge it. If its not... why is it solid?

Yes that is what it is for just like on tunzes, maxi jet mods, and probably a lot more.

I thought it was just a common sense thing that is why it was not in the manual. They have more on their website like the how to take apart your wetside when it breaks.

Common sense would be not to drop the side with the plug in the water, yet their manual discusses that.

Just sayin.

You can have the solid piece on the bottom if the pump is blowing your sand to much.

if you have them close to the surface point them up, if they closer to yur sand even pointing it down, prolly still stir it up @ higher %s
