Ecoxotic Stunner Strip Help?

Anyone have these? Do they need to be enclosed?
I bought one for my 28g JBJ HQI. I Was planning on placing it in the hood in a space just in front of the MH. Someone told me I have to enclose it, or the moisture will kill it...
Anyone know?

Stunner strips are salt water resistant. You should just try to keep the plug high and dry at all times other than that your good to go!

Yeah, all ecoxotic items are water resistant. In heavy splash prone areas they'll get damaged, like overflows and whatnot, but in their demo videos they show one getting splashed during a water change to show their resilience!

I have these on my open top 40 breeder. 3 to 4 inches above water. Never had any problems. You should be fine.
