Epoxy and crazy skimmer!

Stupid me, I used a whole bar of epoxy to glue a bunch of corals to rocks, it's been 48 hours now and I still can't turn of my skimmer because it goes crazy with bubbles due to the epoxy. How long do you guys think I will have to wait before being able to use my skimmer again? The instructions on the epoxy said to wait 36 hours, Ive been waiting 48 hours, probably because I used a whole bar of epoxy!

Just empty the skimmer alot. I had my cup and reservoir fill up in one night. than it was normal. I used a whole stick also. I never turn off my skimmer. Am I supposed to?

What kind did you use? I used Fluval's and it skimmed insanely for a day. I've since moved on to TLF and it doe's nothing to my skimmer. That's my brand of choice for Epoxy now.

i just cleaned my skimmer, then ran it for a day or 2 letting the water fall into my sump. if its external this obviously wont work tho.

When my frag tank cracked I was able to seal it while it leaked with waterweld. It is incredible stuff. (And safe for drinking water applications specifically) I just wish it weren't such an unnatural color. Coraline does grow on it though.

Boston Aqua Farm epoxy is the only corline colored one that will not affect your skimmer. FYI. There's my tip for the day :)

finally stopped bubbling like crazy and overflowing. almost 3 days.
Yes, I heard about the boston aqua farms one, I will use that next time. I also like using their glue accelerator, which make the super glue cure instantly.
