Eshopps ATO help

So i purchased an Eshopps Gravity fed ATO bought 2x 5g reservoirs and a the eshopss hang on float valve. Problem is my sump has a framed lid and on the side it fits the float switch is to big and restricts from raising and now i cant figure how to attach the float valve any ideas heres pics of what im speaking of
