Evergrow IT2080 driver

Anyone know if the drivers can be bought separately? I woke up this morning to find 26 leds off (all in the same row).

I was having problems with one of my lights when I first got it. I emailed Sunny at evergrow and they sent me a new driver for free. That didn't solve the problem so they sent me an new control board. Then, the light just started working normally by pure magic without using either part.

They were surprisingly easy to work with and really responsive, especially for being in china.

The odds are it is not the driver. One of the led burnt out and the circuit is not complete now. I have had this happen a couple times now. Get a multi meter with diode mode and test the individual LEDs. Then just replace to bad one. It is easy. PM me if you have questions.

Are you sure? Last week when I soldered on new diodes, I put a few of them in with the polarity backwards. They didn't light up, but the rest of the channel did.

I'll look though my email tomorrow for the evergrow contact.

Backwards polarity will still complete the circuit and allow the other diodes to light. Burnt diodes are an open circuit and won't light up the rest of the circuit.

Thats cauae even backwards the led is intact and currunt will run through if the led is busted wand wires not connected it can stop then from lighting up. I have had ones that burnt out but still let current flow through on line in led was still good second was shot. So it is something worth checking. Easiest way to c if driver is switch with one of good drivers se if it lights up

I think Evergrow is only selling to distributors now, so they don't sell to the general public. Maybe they will still help with parts, though. Their website is http://evergrowlighting.com. You can click on Sunny's live chat on the left. Remember it's China so you have to do it at night because of the time difference.

If not, maybe reefbreeders would be your next best bet.

skull i will definitely be taking you up on the parts. Im going to start going through it in the morning to test everything individually. I did email sunny so we will see how far that goes.
