Fern like algae or is it a coral?

Very difficult for me to capture this on my camera. This is the best I could do. Do lyou know what this is?

not 100%, but looks like it could be bryopsis. maybe one of the senior members can confirm.

It's really blurry, but it does look like bryopsis...they have fern like branches.

If it is, good luck...I've been fighting it for several months now. Nothing seems to work, the only thing I haven't tried yet is raising my magnesium.

Thanks. It looks like bryopsis to me too after looking it up. I love what it looks like, but if it's going to take over I'll try getting rid of it.

It will take over and almost nothing eats it. Raise your mag to over 1500 with kent tech-m only and it will melt away.

If you can remove the rock from your tank, manually pull it off. Then spot treat the area with peroxide and let it sit for a few minutes. Rinse rock with fresh tank water. BE AWARE that peroxide WILL remove all algae from the rock where treated.
