Fish Food

Does anyone make there own fish food? What do you use and how do you prepare it? Blender food processor? I kinda sick of buying packages of fish food and wouldn't mind making my own.

just get some frozen fish/shrimp/clam and blender them, you can add your choice of vitamin supplement and add that too. some people like to add algae in there too.

I made this about 6 months ago and still a couple more months on hand. Feeds pretty much everything in the tank.

i make some for fowlr tank same way to throw what i want in a blender just use ro ehen i freeze

This forum is great! I am learning so much. I can't believe I wasn't thinking of making my own food. And I work close to Chinatown where I bet I can find good seafood in the market.

was also told to go to any asian market and look for the seafood section. you can find alot of stuff. just mix/blend and put in little baggies for easier dispensing. might try this in the future when I run out of Rod's.

I will try this and keep my current brine shrimp package as a little ice tray to make my own frozen cubes. Never thought of this!

My fish seem to really like the variety that I have for them now. They go nuts when I put food in the tank.
