Do you think a k4 is too much for a 30 g tank? I have dendros, Duncan,sun corals, some sps, xenia, and a couple leathers.

Yes it is- I would go with a K1 or K2- K3 might even be two much. But I would play around with it depending on what type of flow you are looking for- If u have LPS I would just go with K1 since some don't require Hih flow like SPS do...

The next question is.....is anyone interested in trading or buying a k4. I just need something smaller

A K4 will be too much flow, especially for the lps's...I have a K3 behind my rocks in the back for flow, a K1 at the top for oxygen/gas exchange and flow at the top, and a small maxi-jet for mid tank flow.

Depending on where it is placed it may work. I used to use a K4 on my frag tank which was a 30 breeder (36"x18"xX13") and it worked fine. There were mostly softies and zoos in the tank and they did great.
