Hello all, I'm new here. I've been keeping aquariums for nearly 30 years, all freshwater except one fish only salt tank a while back. I'm looking to setup this edge I have as a nano reef. I've got the led lights that come with the edge, a heater, a koralia nano, live sand, will be getting live rock in about a week.
The guy at the lfs told me that the LEDs on the edge wouldn't be enough for a nano reef and suggested I add two led strips which he sells and also has on his reef tanks. The LEDs are very bright and they are 10,000k and actinic. Two 12" strips that you connect to one another and plug into the power supply. I'm planning on just laying them right on the top glass.
Will this be enough light? Am I missing anything aside from the saltwater?
