Fluval Spec V Build thread

Hello everyone and welcome to my build thread for my mere 5 gallon Fluval plumbed into a 10 gallon regular dimension tank. I decided with this tank to minimize the amount of "sponge" filtration as I believe it harbors the growth of nitrates. Everything flows free through the whole system and the tank is provided lots of flow by a MP10 that stirs up any detritus/waste in the display and knocks it down to the sump where it can be properly handled by a well build clean up crew. I have some live rock in the sump that helps with the biological filtration and the flow is EXTREMELY low in the sump (done on purpose). This helps me benefit from all the macro fauna critters that would normally not grow in a high flow system. I like starting out with small frags so they grow according to my tank. I hope you enjoy the build. I will update this top post with the most recent pics. Any suggestions or comments are appreciated!!!
