One of the reasons I love this hobby is our ability to protect the genetic diversity of our reefs. It amazes me that one of the most common varieties of Montipora, the setosa is endangered in the wild, yet commonplace in our reef tanks.
In the spirit of maintaining a living archive of the reefs, we're going to try to have a Coral of the Week here at Ascension. Any time you swing by, we'll toss in a free frag of whatever coral we've decided to spread for that given week. It's really as simple as that! Through next weekend, we'll be giving away free frags of Australian Branching Duncans (Duncanopsammia axifuga) to the first ten people who can come by and check them out!
On top of these gorgeous Duncans, we have an awesome selection of SPS (from red to purple!), tons of acans, clams, nems, zoas, and even a scoly or two! Whether you have.
