Gobies and Blennies

I have two gobies in my tank now. I have a diamond watchman goby, which was my first one. Then I have a firefish goby.

Both are very peaceful and calm fish. Never bother each other, or my clowns. Swim around happily and have great personalities.

I have been thinking of adding another goby or two. If they are different kinds of gobies, do you think they will be fine? I know if I add another firefish goby, the two may fight if they are not a mated pair. However, if I threw in a different kind of goby, do you think they will fight?

I have some hair algea that I want to take care off with a Lawnmower Blennie. Do you think he and the Diamond watchman goby will be aggressive towards each other?

I've heard that a Lawnmower Blennie in this small of a tank isn't a good idea. It will eat all of the hair algae and then will starve.

I don't know if this is true but I was thinking about getting one too till I read some warnings about it.

firefish isint a gobie, its a dart fish, and a lawnmower blenny is a blenny, also should be ok with a sand sifter. I would assume if he has a shoveler his tank is big enough for a lawnmower. They will eat prepared foods as well.

why dont you get lots of snails ?? different kinds and then your algae woes are gone

I would just be concerned with the amount of fish in your nano cube. The more fish in a small space, the more likely they will fight even if they aren't similar in species. The diamond goby and lawnmower blenny should do fine together if the space allows (and the firefish is a non-issue from what I hear, but I have never had one so I can't say for sure). If your clowns start to breed they will become more aggressive and take up more space too.

oh didnt see it was a 28 nano, even that is a little small for a diamond, i would worry about adding a large blenny. Maybe look at a tailspot or twinspot blenny instead.

Not having much luck with snails eating algae and my hermits are down to like... 3 out of 12.. Thinking about getting another hand full of hermits as I can typically see them pulling things off LR.
