Before reading this article I had been told to open a window near the tank to get fresh air in. My ph level had been dropping to the mid 7s. After the open window, it's been at a stable 8.2 during the day. It was good to read a chemistry based article on something that was just suggested to me.

My tank backs up to my utility room, when my furnace is running I have to change the media in my scrubber almost every other week! But it helps just as much as an open window!
