hammer coral not happy.

Hi, i have a Biocube 29 gallon, with LED lights. I added a hammer coral to the tank a few weeks ago and it was very happy where it was placed, over the last few days it has not been looking to happy where it is. nothing in the tank has changed. any ideas what could be the issue?

Hey! Good to see ya posting up!

Looks really bright where it's at, try a shadier spot. Otherwise make sure it's not getting too much flow, it's not an sps coral, like lower gently flow to really open up happy.

hey George, the last few weeks it has been open quite nicely (in this same spot) so when i seen it like this the last few days i was like WTF? is it possible that they will suddenly just not be happy in one spot?

Have you had your hands in the tank recently? Perhaps you got a contaminant in your tank off your hands that is irritating it?

It seams like i always have my hands in the tank for some reason or another but i wash my hands with plain water before i put them in there. I do have 2 torch corals that are acting very happy in there right now,View attachment 4221View attachment 4222
