Help me fight algae!

for my cyano problem I just picked it up from the sand and threw it out...as much as I could...ended up throwing out almost 2-3 lbs of sand by the end (about 4 weeks)...also picked up a diamond goby to stir my sandbed...since the goby cyano never came back
I also am currently fighting hair algae...What i have done was during the week use a tweezer and pull off as much as possible then right before water change use a toothbrush and brush all the hair algae off the rocks and use the siphon to take it all out...right now after about 2 water changes I went from 100% hair algae coverage on rocks to maybe 5%.
