help with algae issue

I have a 145 gallon tank with a 40 gallon sump. I have a protein skimmer and almost zero bioload(4 clowns) I feed very very lightly and do about 20% water changes a week. I have had an algae bloom that haas been going on 4 months now and Im absolutely baffled as to what, why and how? I can seem to get rid of the algae.

Any input would really be appreciated

Are you using RODI? Where did you get your Rock/Sand? Was it live rock or dry rock? Did you cook the rock?

Was there a time between the end of the cycle and the start of the bloom? Pictures? Ok, I have no idea, but I do like seeing photos.

My tank has been up and running for about 3 years now. I use RO DI water. I had some coral die about 6 months ago and the algae bloom has been going strong since

can you give some bioload history on the tank for the last 3 years? were there other fish before or only the 4 clowns. what are the parameters currently? did you disturb the sand bed before this started? Do you vacuum the sand or stir it up? If not do not stir it now!!!
