nice set up and welcome to CR. How long have your piranhas been together usually two pair up and kick a$%
dang... i can't really move any of my rockwork anymore as they're set pretty tight already. you said it won't work as good, but would it still work well enough to let the plug stick to the rock?Yeah, I hate those clear plastic plugs, as they don't stay put anywhere. I would take the frag of the plastic plug and super glue it on a rubble, or if you can take a rock that you want the frag to grow into take it out of the tank and super glue the frag on the rock. Super glue doesn't work that good if you apply on frag and submerge it to stick on rock. It works better if you take the rock out and super glue out of the water then wait a few seconds and place the coral/rock back in the tank.
Below is a link to what people like to use regarding super glue. as long as it's made of cyanoacrylate, it's reef safe. Don't waste your money buying those name brands (costs like 5x more) from saltwater stores/online:

I like sticking the coral in a little piece of rubble and then placing the rubble anywhere in my rockwork, pretty soon the coral encrusts the rubble and the other rocks. You can also try putting a generous amount of super glue on the coral and then putting it in the water and see if it will stick on the rock you want it to stick, some glue will come off when you place in water, but that's ok. I also like using gloves when handling super glue because I hate it getting on my fingers, pain in the butt to remove.
Sometimes it takes awhile for BTA and clowns to connect. Ive had anemones and clown connect instantly. I've also had clowns not go in anemone for weeks. so it all depends.
Hmm, he said I could just spot Feed it and it would eat daphnias and I also got a stick of the cycloped or something they had for sale. It's redish.
That is likely Cyclopeeze. Your fish and other corals will enjoy it as well.
Sounds like you are on the right track. Best advice I can give you with that setup is do 25% water changes every 2 weeks. If something comes up you can jump back on schedule the next week. Keep doing your research before buying anything. Get more than one opinion. Test often. Have fun.
aw crap... for real? the guy at MCF said they're fairly easy to keep alive... I hope it eats daphnias as well or i'll have to head back to a lfs to get some plankton.
I have a carnation coral similar to the one that you have.
They are easy to keep alive, but over the long term don't hold up so well.
You can put them under a rock ledge or in a shady spot as they aren't photosynthetic at all. You will need to feed them to get them to grow.
Mine unfortunately has been getting smaller and smaller for months.
