How Do I Nem-Proof My Tunze Powerheads

Just like it says, I don't want any more nems getting chopped up into pulp. Any ideas? What do you do to keep em safe?

Just like the mp10 u can put like a filter pad or foam thing all around the tunze if u can..

o man, that sucks. did you give it a chance to close? btas are pretty hard to kill. unless it was just mush.... the mp40 pads may actually fit around yur tunze, might need 2 of them tho. you should only need to keep the foam on during acclimation or whenever you see the nem walking around. they usually stay put once they find a good spot. hope you have better luck next time...

wow, that is creative and wouldn't be a nitrate factory like the sponge filters. I think I might use fishing line and sew the whole thing up in addition to a few zips.

How about an old stocking? That's what I use on intake tubes for my FW tanks with tiny fish, like fry. All that stuff clogs up eventually though & has to be constantly disassembled & cleaned.
